Chris Webber, senior from Kearney, Neb., used the physics department's new high-speed camera to capture the motion of colliding dominoes for his senior project: "Theory, Experimentation, and Analysis of the Domino Effect." Using a camera that can record up to 13500 frames per second, Chris recorded and analyzed how variations in the spacing and size of dominoes affect the speed at which they fall. He presented his results at the spring meeting of the Nebraska Academy of Sciences in Lincoln. Chris will begin graduate studies in aerospace engineering this fall at the University of Colorado.
